| Invented by ESI Source Solutions Inc. Nanospray ESI (n-ESI) is a common technique for interfacing capillary chromatography systems with a mass spectrometer in the field of proteomics or ultra high sensitivity analysis. n-ESI is typically done without supplied gas, leaving the background ion signal subject to variable ambient air conditions. Polydimethyl Cyclosiloxanes are especially problematic and almost ominpresent. ABIRD signifcantly reduces the entry of these into the MS. ABIRD can be fitted to a wide variety of Nanospray sources from a variety of manufacturers including Thermo, Waters, ABSciex and Bruker.
Try the ABIRD on your MS, it's easy to set up and use. Download a PPT about the ABIRD here. | n-ESI plume ![]() ![]() Q-TOF Premier without ABIRD- Background Signal = 6.42e 3 ![]() Q-TOF Premier with ABIRD- Background Signal = 3.41e 2 |
